About Buddy

Hi! I'm Buddy-your future best friend with the cutest freckles and a heart full of love! I'm a 4-year-old happy-go-lucky Husky mix with the biggest smile and even bigger love for belly rubs. When I meet someone new, I just have to jump up and say 'Hi!'-I'm working on that!-and then immediately roll onto my back for pets (because belly rubs are the best, right?!). I'm a super sweet guy who lives for human attention. I may not care much for toys, but playing and goofing around with my people? Oh yes, please! I love being part of the action and would make the best companion for someone who enjoys a loving, cheerful shadow. I'm house trained, crate trained, and not destructive at all-I don't chew on stuff or get into anything I shouldn't. I'm also really gentle with treats, and I know how to 'sit' and give you both paws for a 'paw-shake'! I even catch treats out of the air like a pro. Pretty cool, right? I do great on leash unless-squirrel!-I see a small animal or cat. Then I get a little too excited and pull, but if you redirect me, I'll listen. I do have a high prey drive (yep, I once caught a chicken-oops!), so no cats or free-roaming small animals in my ideal home, please. I get along really well with kids-I adore the 5-year-old granddaughter at my foster home and love giving her kisses! I also enjoy running along the fence with the neighbor dog and, okay, I may have jumped a 3-4 ft fence to go say hello... what can I say? I love making friends! With my freckles, sweet face, and love for people, I promise to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love into your life.
