KYP - The Sweetest, Most Playful Adventure Buddy! KYP is a 2-year-old, 30-pound mixed breed dog who is full of life and love. He was originally adopted as a puppy through our rescue but was recently returned due to changes in his former family's living and financial situation. Now he's back with us and ready to find his perfect forever home! KYP is a very friendly, affectionate, and playful boy who loves cuddles and attention. His favorite move? Nudging your arm up so he can squirm underneath it for hugs. He's a true snuggler with a big heart! This happy pup is high-energy and thrives on play-whether it's with his humans or other dogs. He does best with medium to large-sized dogs who can match his energy level. KYP would be the perfect match for an active person, family, or another energetic dog. If you're looking for a companion for your outdoor adventures, he's your guy! KYP is housebroken and lets you know when he needs to go outside. He must have a fenced yard where he can run, explore, and burn off his energy. He walks on a leash but still gets easily distracted, so continued leash training will help him improve. He's currently attending a training class and already knows several commands, including: Sit, Down, Off, Leave It, Wait, No, Drop It, and Look (for focus). He's very food motivated and eager to please! At night, KYP sleeps in bed with his foster family and foster siblings, enjoying the warmth and comfort of being close. To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Please remember to check your spam folder for any communication from our team. Unless otherwise stated, all of our dogs have been to the vet for a wellness check, are up to date on shots, are spayed/neutered, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. Dogs 1 year old and over are heartworm tested and received a year of heartworm prevention with a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot. We adopt to homes within a 1-6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and some dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally. We do not ship or transport our dogs.
