About Maple

Maple was dumped on the sidewalk outside of a local Petco on April 7th, 2025. She was severely underweight at the time. Currently we estimate she is about 7-8 months old. We are working on getting her in to see the vet for an exam. Maple is extremely sweet and just wants to be with people. She is quite well mannered and wants to socialize, but gets intimidated by other cats. She would need a nice slow introduction with lots of positive reinforcement. She would do wonderfully in a home with children as long as they are gentle, and would get along nicely with calm dogs that are cat-friendly and have low-no prey drive. She can walk nicely on an H harness and leash and does not mind having her claws trimmed. She may be spooked by loud noise, but otherwise is very courageous and confident. She will warm up to you and your home quickly, responding better to toys and affection than she does to treats. Maple's veterinary history is unknown as she was abandoned without a word before taken into my care. As soon as possible she will be taken in for an exam to ensure she has her vaccinations and is spayed (if you are interested in donating to help me rescue animals in need such as Maple, please reach out, I am an independent caretaker who specializes in rehabilitating animals with behavioral issues). She shows no sign of digestive issues or parasites (no blood or worms in her stool). No fleas have been detected. She has not thrown up and does not exhibit any coughing or wheezing.
