Mojo is a 6 yr old, purebred American Bulldog male, not neutered, and needs updated vaccinations. We rescued him during COVID, in 2019, and has been with us exclusively the last 5-6 years. He is anxious, fearful, and at times attempts to establish dominance, by acting aggressively. Otherwise, he enjoys walks, the backyard, playing with his chew toys, and is very food/treat oriented. After we purchased a new home last year, he has become less comfortable, more anxious, and re-active to delivery drivers, noisy neighbors, and the constant construction taking place in the neighborhood. Also, we both started working a different shift at work, and do not have the time to spend with him as needed. He is fearful of strangers and placed in a different room when company stops by, as he is very protective of us and his home. We would like to surrender/adopt out MoJo to a qualified trainer/facility use to dealing with reactive and potentially aggressive rescues. He has never bit anyone, but we fear the recent move and his change in attitude and behavior, may result in a dangerous incident unless he is taken in by someone with more time and experience dealing with difficult dogs. If Mojo is not happy with us, I prefer giving him a second chance elsewhere, rather than euthanasia.
