About Sawyer

Meet Sawyer, a lovable two-year-old dog who has faced a string of unfortunate events. Despite his tough start in life, Sawyer has received medical care from Augusta Dog Adoptions and has made a full recovery from his injuries, including the amputation of a mangled leg and the removal of a BB from his good foot. Now, Sawyer is looking for a forever home where he can receive the love and care he deserves. He gets along well with dogs and people, is likely housetrained, and has adapted remarkably to being a tripod! He loves to play and run with other dogs! Sawyer will make a wonderful family pet and shower his new owners with love and affection. Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
