About Fenix

We are looking for a new home for our beautiful 3 year old German shepherd. She is by far the best dog I have ever owned. She is an epic adventure partner, the most loving and fiercely loyal companion, and deserves a wonderful home. She loves to hike more than anything else, is an excellent off-leash hiking dog, and can even drink from a camelback! She goes to the dog park every day and dog daycare once a week, and loves other dogs more than people. I have had some health issues over the past few months, and when I am sick she does not ever leave my side. Unfortunately she is very afraid of certain men (she is a rescue and I assume this is because of her previous owner), one of those men being my partner. We have tried for many months to help her overcome her fear, but our schedule doesn't allow us to be consistent enough with training and routines. Her fear coupled with her protectiveness over me causes her to bark at him almost constantly and try to herd him away from me.
