It was worth the fight it took to rescue CEDAR - a year-old, 65lb GSD - from the high-kill pound in Dallas, Texas, where cruel managers have a particular hatred for all German Shepherds and routinely sentence them to death for just being born. CEDAR's foster mom quickly fell in love with the affectionate, intelligent and loyal dog who loves absolutely everyone he meets, including new people, kids, other dogs and yes, even cats!
