About Balou

Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Weight: 7 kg Age: 11 years Intake date: February 17, 2025 Balou is an 11-year-old Yorkie who has spent his whole life alongside his beloved owners. Unfortunately, no one gets younger, and his people have now reached a stage in life where they need help themselves and can no longer care for him. Sadly, their family didn't have the space-or the time-to take Balou in, so he came to us in search of a new home where he can once again be a cherished member of the family. Balou needs dental care, as he has a heavy buildup of tartar and painful, inflamed gums that cause bad breath. We are also treating his skin and coat to get him back in top shape. Despite his age, Balou is a cheerful little guy, full of life. He loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He still enjoys going for walks but also loves to relax at home with his people. He doesn't like being alone-he tends to bark when left by himself. We're currently working on his house training; he's doing well, but occasional accidents still happen, likely due to the stress of all the recent changes. Balou will be adopted vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, neutered, with treated teeth and full bloodwork.
