About Lizzy

Lizzy is a loving and playful lab who's equal parts sweet and shy. She warms up quickly and is happiest when surrounded by her people-especially kids! She's the kind of dog who thrives on affection and will loyally follow her human around the house with a soft toy (or a piece of laundry!) in her mouth. Yes, laundry. She's quirky like that. Lizzy gets along well with other dogs, but she does like her personal space when she's getting attention indoors. She may give a warning growl to say 'this moment is mine,' but she never takes it further. Outside, she's calm and observant around other dogs and fairly non-reactive. With the right guidance, she's a dream on-leash and responds well to commands like 'heel,' 'no,' 'off,' and 'leave it.' She's house trained and adores her crate-as long as someone is home. When left alone, Lizzy gets very anxious, so a home where someone is often around or willing to work through her separation anxiety would be ideal. She'll need continued exposure to crowds, new environments, and noisy situations, but she's resilient and usually goes with the flow when nudged gently. This affectionate girl is needy in the best way. She'll thrive in a home that sets clear boundaries, offers gentle leadership, and provides lots of love. Bonus points if you have a pile of warm laundry she can roll in.
