About Rusty

Rusty was my late father's favorite lap dog. He passed a couple weeks ago and we brought him home to Kentucky. We absolutely love him and his great spirit and playfulness. He's a great cuddle buddy, but the problem is we also have cats, and he kinda harasses them to where they are in hiding when he's around. We are busy people and don't have the time to train him, and the cats deserve some peace as well. I would prefer someone adopt him with no cats so he doesn't get in 'trouble' for being the Rat Terrier that he is. He wasn't potty trained by my Dad as he was in a wheelchair and we have worked on it, and he's getting better at it! He hasn't met a person or dog he doesn't get along with. Very sweet and loyal, please let me know if you can give him a great home without cats and can walk him in a leash or have a fenced in yard. His breed will run searching for critters and possibly dig out if he sees one. Prefer someone with knowledge of their breed for this reason. He would make a loyal companion for an older person in my opinion. Thank you so much
