About Carlos

Carlos' Bio: Carlos is a 10 year old Chihuahua dog who I rescued 9 years ago. I am moving and he is not able to come along//allergies of concern and environment not suitable. Here's his history and things to know: I rescued Carlos at age 10 months. He did excellent with the other 3 chihuahuas, bunnies and large German Shepherd. He doesn't chase, attack or bite. Pros: Carlos is excellent with grooming / bathing, calm and cooperative He is smart and obedient with basic commands, loves training with treats and very motivated little guy He is snuggly, affectionate and enjoys being pet, getting attention and being your pal while doing chores He loves walks and agility, hiking, car ridesIn a household, he is gentle towards other animals - kittens, bunnies, dogs of any kind - he has a solid 9 yrs of this to prove! Cons: He will bark a lot at new people in the house, but warms up in 10-15min. He's not happy in a dog park Reactive to people and other dogs not in his household - in community; takes reiterating manners and time before he calms down. He will bolt from a gait Carlos lives with other dogs & animals - while he's non-reactive and gentle with them, it seemingly pulls out his anxiety - he paces, whines, fusses and this can go on during the night when other animals are present. This anxiety causes him to territorially pee, baseboard, corners, furniture legs and the like. He IS housebroken and knows to go on potty pads or ask to be let outside. He tends to fuss and whine during the night and in the house - and it seems due to jealousy he has with the other little chihuahuas
