About Harlie

My name is Harlei. I am a 3.5 year old full bred Australian Shepherd. I am 43 lbs and I can stand to lose at least 5 of those pounds. I am a bit chunky for my frame. Since I am a full bred Australian Shepherd, I am certainly true to my breed. I am active, I am incredibly smart, I need a job, I need a person dedicated to continuing my training that I have already started. I am great with other dogs - big and small. I can play with all of them (and wants to) but I am also respectful of the older and smaller ones I am around. I'm also good with kids and I have had pretty extensive experience with them. I am a very happy girl overall; I just didn't land with people who could provide me with what I need as an Aussie! I absolutely love to walk on leash and explore but where I need work is on my leash response. I can be reactive to other dogs on leash; clearly I am friendly but I have to work on this barrier reactivity. I am food motivated and I am easily corrected. I need an owner that can provide me with consistency that I have not received in my life quite yet. I am going to make an excellent companion for someone and learn the ropes quickly A person with herding dog experience is a must for this me... this means people with herding/working dog experience should apply!
