Please read the bio in full for answers to your questions. In the event you have a question that is not covered in the bio, please email [email protected]. If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application which can be found at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/. Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance from West Chester, PA for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit. Meet Leo! Leo is an approximately 10-year-old, 8 lb. mixed breed who came to us after being found as a stray-thin, matted, and in need of care. Since joining our rescue, Leo has been on the road to recovery and is now ready to find a loving forever home. This sweet senior had a dental cleaning, neuter surgery, and an echocardiogram to evaluate a grade 3 heart murmur. While he does have a heart condition, he's doing well and continues to enjoy life at his own pace. Leo is housebroken when kept on a schedule and does well in a calm, predictable environment. He's good with older, respectful children and does best with low to medium-energy dogs who share his relaxed vibe. He's a wonderful mix of affectionate and independent-he loves snuggling and belly rubs, but he's also content relaxing in a dog bed on his own. Leo enjoys leisurely walks, exploring the yard, or trotting around the neighborhood. He even has an adorable little pep in his step when it's time for a walk and gets excited when he sees his leash. Leo is a gentle soul looking for a quiet, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years. If you're seeking a loyal companion with a heart full of love, Leo might be your perfect match.
