About Jax

Adoption Fee: $300
Bengal
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Jax is a wonderful, smart, independent, curious 7 year old bengal cat. He has high energy for a cat, but on the chiller side for a bengal. He is indoor only but we go on walks outside daily. We live in a city (San Francisco) so he would do well anywhere as long as he has access to outdoor space. In the evenings, he cuddles up on the couch with me and loves chin scritches. He knows a few tricks (sit, paw, high five) and loves to chase teasers. He is an only cat and should stay that way but seems to do well with dogs on our walks so think he would be alright in a home with a dog(s). He prefers humans to animals but I am unsure how he does with kids since there are no kids in my neighborhood or immediate community. Jax was diagnosed early stage HCM when he was 4 years old and we go to the cardiologist annually. The disease has shown no progression since. He takes atenelol daily which he eats no problem with his pill pocket. The reason I am rehoming Jax is because he has a sensitive stomach and poops (but not pees) daily outside of the litterbox. We have tried many different foods, including raw diets, supplements, etc. allergy testing, medical testing, and I just can't seem to figure out what the issue is. I have spent a lot of financial resources trying to figure this out and unfortunately cannot continue. I really hope to find him a loving home that can continue to support him on his journey to find his best health. He really is a wonderful and unique boy and I want him to feel healthy and happy.
