About KAY

It is NOT okay that KAY (#A2180674) entered the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA, in January and her 'family' hasn't come to redeem her. It is NOT okay that this 6-year-old, beautiful brindle, loving girl is still in a cement kennel and not in a home with a family that will love her and be committed to her, forevermore. KAY is quite popular with shelter volunteers and she is described by one volunteer as: 'Really easy-going, soft, independent, affectionate dog. She was easy to leash and did not pull to the yard in the yard. She just explored and would come up to me periodically for scratches. She was very interested when people would walk by the outside gate on the street. Very chill, just me entered around the yard a lot. Seems pretty low energy. When frisky she would wag her tail and prance a bit. Very easy to return.' Other notes are quite similar. KAY has been in several playgroups, but appears not to like it when dogs get in her face or try to mount her. She gives clear warnings for space.
