Meet Juniper (Juno for short)! Juno is a 5 year old purebred female Rottweiler (no papers). Juno's owner (my sister) was unfortunately incarcerated recently and therefore isn't able to keep her anymore. She's been a very much loved member of our family since she was a puppy. It really breaks my heart that I can't keep her, but I currently have 5 dogs that don't get along. Juno sleeps in my guest room and would much rather sleep with her humans in the bed or in a dog bed near the bed. Juno is an absolute sweetheart! If I'm having a bad day, Juno is the dog that I go to for snuggles%BD'%BD|she seems to sense emotion and just lets you hug her as long as you need. I truly think that the RIGHT owner could introduce her to a larger, alpha female dog and they'd likely get along. Juno and my Rottweiler Iris were buddies for many years. As Iris got older/injured and couldn't 'check' Juno like a good alpha should, Iris started picking fights and now Juno is reactive with other dogs on occasion. It's definitely fear-based, and I think that the right family and dog could train that out of her pretty easily. Juno has been around kids for her whole life and does well with older kids (10+). I wouldn't trust her around little ones only because she's been aggressive with small dogs before and I'm afraid that might translate to small children. She likes and does well with all cats, to my knowledge! %BD%BD%BDS Juno is healthy, but her nails are extremely long. She will likely need to be taken to the vet and sedated to get them cut down to a normal size. I will return the $200 fee if I see that her new family has gotten her nails done and Rabies shot. Juno is absolutely obsessed with balls and has to have one near her or she gets whiny lol. She's very, very good at catch and fetch. She knows quite a few commands, walks well on a leash, and is a good guard dog. Please reach out if you'd like more info about Juno or are interested in adopting her. I will insist on doing a home visit to see where she'll be living and to meet her new family. I truly just want the best home for her!
