About Bluey

In desperate need of help. I need someone to adopt this baby and give him the love and time he needs. We rescued this blue heeler baby 9 weeks ago. He was mentally in a horrible state when we got him. He would freeze up and not move for the first few days. He didn't even leave the dog house and used the bathroom on himself. I've been working with him for 4 to 6 hours every day, double that amount on the weekends just to get him to get used to people. We have him now where he will eat out of our hands after 1 to 2 hours of sitting with him but he doesn't like any physical contact yet. He is exceptionally smart but unfortunately he is starting to be aggressive towards my other small dogs and that's why we can't keep him. He is up to date on shots and completed 2 rounds of dewormer for whipworms (which was done under vet instructions). Around 7.5 months old New owner needs to be patient, should have a big property for him to run and play in, preferably a farm. He loves digging so carefully investigate fenced in yards regularly. He is a good boy but unfortunately still very traumatized. Not sure what happened to him in his previous home. New owner needs to have experience in helping traumatized dogs. He does not show any aggression towards people. He trusts our 12 yo daughter more than me even tho I am the one that trains with him on building trust. We have 7 cows that walk by his fence line daily. He usually doesn't pay them much attention but one day I watched him play pounce on the ground as they walked by. Im not sure if this baby was a voice. He has never barked or whined once. I'm strongly thinking that he is not fixed.
