
Meet Our Mutt: Ken Ken is currently at a high-kill shelter in Texas and is really hoping to catch a ride to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. He NEEDS an ADOPTER or FOSTER to secure his spot on the transport truck-without one, he won't be able to make the trip. Spay/Neutered: Neutered Potty Trained: In progress Crate Trained: Yes Leash Manners: Learning Good with other dogs: Yes - he does great with the dogs in his foster home Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids: Sweet and gentle, but can be shy at first Ken is a shy boy at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet personality shines. He's doing wonderfully in his current foster home and would thrive in a patient, loving environment with another dog to help show him the ropes. He is currently in a foster home and working on potty training, crate training, and everything else that goes with living in a home. Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. �'��3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
