
Meet Our Mutt: Fox Fox is currently stuck in a high-kill shelter in Texas and is hoping with all his little heart to catch a ride to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on June 2nd, 2025. But he can't make it unless a kind ADOPTER or FOSTER steps up to save him. Without one, he won't be able to leave the shelter. Despite everything he's been through, he absolutely lights up when someone shows him kindness. He loves cuddles, calm voices, and being held. He's ready to trade the noise and stress of the shelter for a warm lap and a quiet home. He may be small, but he's holding onto big hope-can you be the one who gives him a second chance? To apply to ADOPT or FOSTER: www.muttlife.org _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. ?3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old. **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
