About Donk

Adoption Fee: $550
Lab / Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Donk is currently in the high kills shelter system in Arkansas and is really hoping to catch a ride to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on May 10, 2025. He needs an adopter or foster to secure his spot on the transport truck, or he will not be able to come! This sweet pup was found as a stray - scared, alone, and hoping someone would stop to help. Thankfully, someone did. Now they're safe, but they need a foster or forever home to truly begin their second chance. What we know so far: - Kid-friendly - Dog-friendly - Sweet, gentle, and eager for love - Just wants a soft place to land and someone to care Strays like this one often come from hard beginnings, but they have so much love to give when given the chance. Whether you can foster temporarily or are ready to adopt, you can change everything for this dog. * Supplies can be provided for fosters To adopt or foster: www.muttlife.org __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI.
