About Bowie

Bowie (Beau) is a 4-year-old, 60 lb purebred Chow Chow who has been working hard in training and is now ready to find his new family. After being returned from a previous adoption, Bowie has made huge progress with structure, socialization, and confidence-building. Bowie is an intelligent and capable dog who thrives on clear leadership. When he lost his canine companion and was put in a leadership role he wasn't ready for, it led to frustration and confusion. But with consistent training, he's learning how to navigate the world with confidence! Bowie is housebroken, crate-trained, and food-motivated. He loves toys, enjoys roughhousing, and is incredibly expressive once he trusts his handler. He can be pushy with new dogs but adjusts well when properly guided. He's still working on leash manners and handling, so he needs a confident adopter who understands Chow Chows or independent breeds. Bowie's Ideal Home: - Experienced adopter with strong leadership skills - No small children (at this time!) - A structured home that will continue his training - A confident, well-balanced dog friend would be a plus! Bowie is protective, playful, and full of personality. With the right person, he will be an incredible companion. **Bowie is located in Spring, Texas. Paid transport can be arranged.
