About Mia

Meet Mia, our adorable 1.5-year-old German Shepherd with a heart as big as her puppy eyes! We adopted her on the last day before euthanasia in Visalia, CA and have helped her get out of her shell to show us her amazing personality. Mia is the perfect mix of playful and sweet-she'll keep you smiling with her silly antics and love for anything that squeaks or squishes. Snuggle time is her specialty, and she's always ready to curl up next to you after a fun walk full of sniffing adventures. Mia is a gentle soul, especially when taking treats or playing-always polite and soft. She's motivated by cuddles, toys, and tasty snacks, making her the perfect companion for someone who loves affection and a little playful fun. Mia is fully potty trained and knows to go to the bathroom outside, crate trained to sleep at night. She could use some leash training as she does like to pull and when she sees a squirrel she becomes laser focused on them. She is wary of people at first, but with enough treats to let her know you are a safe space she will become your shadow. She is in a house with cats, and even though she just wants to play with them, her size and strength are overpowering for them. If you're looking for a loyal friend who will shower you with love (and maybe steal your heart along with a squeaky toy), Mia is your girl!
