About Tiger

Tiger is a quiet, mature, smart 10 year old male. He hides under the bed, but during quiet times, he emerges and comes to sit or lay beside (or on) you. Two years ago he developed a skin condition called Pemphigus. Dr. Gimler, an excellent feline dermatologist in Dallas diagnosed it, and it can be kept under control with a regimen of low dose steroid subQ shots a few times a week. He tolerates the shots well because he knows he will feel better after. The initial supply of Dex and needles are provided with the cat. He needs someone to care for him who is comfortable drawing syringes and administering shots because if the regimen is interrupted, his coat thins, he scratches, and fur begins to fall out.
