About Ada

We are looking for a new home for our beloved American Foxhound. We adopted Ada when she was 6 months old. She is now 7 years old, will be 8 in July. She has been the apple of our eye for years! However, she has shown signs of being uncomfortable around babies. We have two kids - a 3 year old and an 8 month old. It's too much to manage and our time for Ada has just become so little these days. We are also about to move across the country and feel that it's time to find a better home for her. She deserves a family or owner who will be able to give her more attention and ultimately a better life. Ada's strengths: -amazing on leash -loves to cuddle -goofy girl -energetic at times but also could sleep all day -great guard dog -not aggressive with other dogs -amazing with people/kids older than 3 -sweet & gentle -not an anxious dog -happy with just a walk each day, easy to please Ada's weaknesses: -uncomfortable around babies/toddlers -triggered by cats -counter surfer -mediocre recall
