Thank you for your interest in Jasmine! We are seeking a home with another young or playful dog. Size doesn't matter. Jasmine lives in a Montevallo Alabama Foster Home. We can set up a meet and greet or FaceTime first. In state or neighboring state adoption is welcome. We rescued Jasmine from an overcrowded shelter in November 2024. We thought we could find her a home quickly, but that was not the case. She did adopt in December, just before Christmas, at 4 1/2 months old, but she was returned three days later because she was scared and would not come out of her crate. It was then that we decided to send her to a behaviorist for an evaluation, and it was determined that Jasmine will do best going into a home with another playful and confident dog. A dog she can take the lead from, which will make her feel more secure. We have waited for that home all these months. We thought Jasmine was shepherd mix so after several months in rescue, we decided to DNA test her. She's a mutt, with 45% husky and only 2% German shepherd. She has a soft to the touch coat and her tail almost sweeps the floor, it's that long. Jasmine is crate trained, she loves to play with bouncy balls that fit in her mouth, she loves water, playing in it or biting at it. She lives as a house dog and she will not jump on furniture, chew furniture, or tear up anything, except her toys. Jasmine is great with dogs of various ages and sizes. She has never shown aggression towards another dog. She will share her antlers, horns, and Nylabones with other dogs in her foster home. She has not spent much time on a leash. Jasmine is not a high energy dog. She's medium energy for being so young. Shes great in the house or in the yard! Jasmine is currently about 50 pounds and almost 9 months old. We never intended for her to grow up in Rescue. If she's not the dog for you, and you know someone that she would be a great fit for, please share her.
