Red A738564 1 Year Old Male Pit Bull Terrier URGENT Needs Rescue/Foster/Adopter Red is a 1 year old male Pit Bull that was picked up by Animal Control Officers on 4/19/25 after reports of a dog possibly struck by a vehicle with an injured leg. Upon arrival Red was examined by the shelter's medical team, radiographs were performed and confirmed Red sustained a fractured front right leg. Shortly after arriving Red's owners did come to the shelter to initiate a redemption, they were informed of his current injuries and informed staff they were in between housing with lack of funds to provide financial care for Red. The shelters outreach team did help facilitate a medical care program to assist Red's owners for release; however, once release was arranged the owners of Red failed to arrive and have since stopped responding to any follow up communications. Due to Red's need for proper cage rest and his current status of having no owners in a position to reclaim their pet, Long Beach Animal Care Services is seeking help for Red through rescue, foster, or adoption.
