About EDDIE

Please...EDDIE is still waiting patiently for his special forever family to come scoop him up! Where are you? Meet EDDIE! EDDIE will be 100% devoted to you! A low-traffic household is ideal, one where he can be a couch potato and total snuggle-bug with his trusted family members. While EDDIE is unsure of strangers coming to the home, we do think this may be isolated to when he is the only dog in the home. He is not a very confident guy...so we think with the help of a more outgoing dog in the home, his worries may subside. Pairing him with a buddy is not a necessity, but just a possible solution for his stranger danger. He just needs a home where being leery of visitors can be accommodated and respected. EDDIE is kind of a homebody. When it's time for a walk, he will slooooowly exit his familiar space and look back several times as you walk with him further and further away from the home. Once 'home' is out of sight he begins to enjoy the walk, and then of course on the way back and 'home' is back in sight...he is very happy to return. EDDIE is a super handsome Pitty Mix, about 4-5 years old, about 60 lbs., great with other dogs. EDDIE does not need a crate and is totally house trained and non-destructive. He has earned total freedom in his foster home and is totally trustworthy. Although EDDIE actually LOVES children, we are seeking a kid-free home since EDDIE needs a home where there are fewer visitors as he learns to trust more, which is not feasible in a busier household.
