About Pixie Stix

Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

URGENT: PIXIE STIX IS IN GRAVE DANGER - EUTHANASIA LOOMS She was once someone's 'forever' - adopted in October 2024, full of hope and innocence. But instead of love, Pixie Stix was abandoned, left behind in an empty apartment like a forgotten piece of trash. When she was found, she weighed only 26 pounds. Just bones wrapped in skin. Her ribs jutted out. Her skull protruded. She was starving. She was dying. But she didn't give up. A kind-hearted finder took her in, and Pixie began to heal. Slowly, steadily, she gained weight and trust. Now she's a healthy 61.5 pounds - her coat shines, her eyes sparkle, and her heart still believes in the goodness of people. After all she's been through, she still loves with her whole heart. Pixie Stix is everything her name promises - a sugar-sweet soul wrapped in a wiggly, joyful body. She greets you with happy tail wags, yearning for affection, desperate to belong again. And yet, despite her resilience, she's running out of time. Shelter life is breaking her spirit. She waited. And waited. And waited. The longer she sits in a cage, the more anxious she becomes. The shelter has downgraded her behavior rating because she's starting to unravel - not because she's bad, but because she's losing hope. Can you imagine surviving such cruelty, only to be thrown away again? Pixie Stix needs a family who will see her for what she truly is - a miracle of survival, a loyal heart craving connection, an energetic and affectionate girl who just needs guidance, patience, and love. With the right person, she will blossom again. Her trust, once broken, can be healed - she just needs someone to try. She is toy-obsessed, people-focused, and full of life. She walks well on leash (but pigeons? They're exciting!). She loves giving kisses, she loves snuggling, she loves being part of something - anything - that feels like home. But the clock is ticking. Pixie Stix is at risk of euthanasia, not because she's dangerous, but because her mental health is declining in confinement. This is treatable. This is preventable. With an experienced foster or adopter who can help her channel her energy and reassure her that she is safe, Pixie will remember who she really is: a good dog. A loving dog. A dog who just wants to be someone's everything. We are begging - not just asking - for a hero to step up. Please don't let her die without ever knowing what it means to be truly wanted. if you can adopt of foster please text Kat 516 457-3678 , I can send you her video which says 1,000 words a pic cant. She is such a sweet angel . Please save her
