About Ariel

Ariel is a 5-year-old, 9-pound Pomeranian with the kind of gentle charm that sneaks up on you and stays. She's easygoing, quiet, and loves to nap belly-up on a cozy pillow like she owns the place. Whether she's lounging on the couch or following you around the house with her soft, steady gaze, Ariel is the kind of companion who brings calm to any room. She gets along beautifully with other dogs, doesn't mind cats, and is great with kids. Ariel rides well in the car, is kennel trained, and is learning the ropes of walking on a harness and going outside for potty breaks. She's food-motivated, treat-loving, and happiest when snuggled up beside someone she trusts. Ariel does have luxating patellas and a minor heart murmur. A recent echocardiogram showed early mitral valve disease-an age-related change that's causing a mild murmur. Her heart is currently a normal size, and no medication is needed at this time. While this condition may not progress significantly or lead to heart failure, she should see a cardiologist once a year to monitor for any changes as she ages.
