About Birdie

Special adopter alert! Read this description- do not ever adopt based on looks alone (even though she is super adorable). This is Birdie! Birdie is about three years old and 11 pounds, maybe some sort of little terrier mix. We've had her in rescue for about three months and she is still��%BD'��%BD|terrified. Thankfully she shows zero fear aggression but she will need a home that will love her until the end of her days just as she is. Birdie was found dumped in the woods and we just can't imagine how scared she was out there. It breaks our hearts. She tries so hard to love and to trust but she hasn't been able to break that barrier down yet. She loves her crate��%BD'��%BD|it is the only place she feels safe. Once she knows you, Birdie will give you kisses and happy dance and talk to you- but only if you go in that crate with her. She will go outside to do her business but then will hide until she can go back to her safe place. Birdie absolutely has to have a fenced in yard for her safety. We need an adopter that will be 100% committed to righting all the wrongs that have happened in poor Birdie's little life. Will you be that hero?
