About ROSCOE

***NEEDS FOSTER or FOREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise boarding kennels Meet ROSCOE! He is a beautiful, healthy, calm, smart 5-year-old, neutered, likely 90 lb German Shepherd Dog who could be called PERFECT in every way! Some have said that he has traits of a police dog. ROSCOE is kid, dog, and cat-friendly. He has lived with cats, toddlers and elementary school kids. He prefers being loose in the house, but will tolerate the crate. He has been known to sleep on his people's bed. He doesn't destroy the house and only barks sometimes when he sees walkers on the trail near the house. He is not a jumper or escape artist. ROSCOE rides well in vehicles and walks well on leash, but prefers to be off-leash. He has an excellent recall and even 'checks-in' with his people when walking off-leash on trails. ROSCOE loves water play, playing with toys and is an expert fetch player. He is housetrained and sleeps through the night. Although ROSCOE is above-average height (30.5 inches), he could use some more groceries. At his age, he doesn't need long walks, but 2 routine walks per day will help him bond to his new family. The ideal family for ROSCOE would be an active family that understands the breed. ROSCOE's adoption will include health vaccines, rabies vaccine, and neuter surgery.
