About Scrappy

Scrappy is a sweet polite 2yr old German Shepherd Mix. He spent 36 days in the shelter and with that much time it landed him on the euth list. He was then adopted by a man that wanted to do good by saving him from euthanasia, but had no intentions of keeping him, totally adopted on emotion. Scrappy was found on a 'Free Dog' FB Page, which often puts dogs at risk of becoming a Bait Dog. Our rescue stepped up to save him and ensure he is given a better more stable home. Despite ALL of this Scrappy is very resilient and it has not affected him. He is still the fun loving dog the shelter volunteers said he was. Scrappy is very slightly timid with new situations, but adjusts easily. He would prefer to be the only dog, but will also do well with a neutral female dog. He does great with kids over 10yrs old, walks well on a leash, is crate trained, housebroke, will alert bark with a knock at the door but relatively a very quiet dog. Scrappy is ready to go to your new home whenever you're ready. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
