Irie A538941 11 Year Old Male Pit Bull Terrier Mix URGENT Needs Rescue By 5/3/25 Irie is an 11 year old senior neutered male that was owner surrendered to the shelter on 4/15/25 due to his owner being deported and all immediate family not being able to provide medical / financial care for Irie. Irie arrived with severe buphthalmos and corneal edema to his right eye requiring enucleation, an initial rescue plea was released on 4/17/25 prior to surgery. Yesterday on 4/28/25 during a follow up medical examination, Irie's left eye also displayed signs of corneal edema. Irie shows no signs of vision in his left eye any longer and likely also need to be enucleated. Due to Irie's immediate need for further diagnostics and ophthalmology work up for possible enucleation, Irie needs rescue placement by end of day Saturday May 3rd 2025.
