About Phoenix

URGENT! [Case opened on 4/28/25]. SALT LICK, KY. (will drive up to an hour and a half to meet). Est 1.5 Y/O FEMALE LONG HAIRED GSD. Her name is now ' PHOENIX'. Background: Phoenix was found abandoned in a parking lot and showed extreme signs of neglect and abuse. The Current Foster took her to the vet and got her all vetted up and grooming appt is this Friday. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed, UNSURE, but vet did not see a tattoo. UNKNOWN with kids, but is a sweet soul, so most likely good with kids, but NOT confirmed yet. Good with dogs. UNKNOWN with cats. House trained. Crate trained. No known medical issues. SEPARATION ANXIETY. HIGH ENERGY. Currently on TASTE OF THE WILD food. Weighs 69 lbs. Good with car rides, but nervous. Loves: In the short amount of time that the Current Shepherd Foster has had Phoenix, she has learned that she loves: to go on walks, playing with other dogs, balls, meeting new people, people, attention, giving kisses- being praised. Personality: such a sweet and loving girl. This Beauty was thankfully found by an amazing human who rescued her, took her home, immediately took her to the vet and got all vetted up, and also now has a Grooming appointment for this Friday. She is being pampered like she should have been her whole life. This amazing human is not able to keep Phoenix, but how lucky Phoenix was to be rescued by her! As stated above, Phoenix was found in an abandoned parking lot with an extremely tight collar and knotted up hair. She had several signs of abuse and neglect. It looks as though Phoenix did what she had to do to escape a bad life. She is good on a leash. Good Recall. Very lovable. Eager and fast learner. A heartbreaking discovery to learn that she does not know how to play with toys, but she is in great hands and working with her . Extremely sweet girl who needs an amazing Furever Home. She is nervous and has Separation Anxiety, which is so understandable considering what she has been through. She will thrive best in a home with someone who is home a lot, who can give her the time, love and attention that she so desperately needs and deserves. Comes with: collar, leash.
