I rescued Bandit from a breeder at almost 8 months old. I'm not sure if the breeder was abusive or if Bandit just has trust issues from not much human interaction. We rescued him & his brother in September '22 & have tried all training things since then and besides learning basic commands (sit, shake, down) he can not learn to leave the bad behaviora. You can tell he has anxiety around new people because he passes & barks until he finally starts to trust that person after multiple visits. Hes always been a lot to handle but it's gotten worse since we had to move off of our farm & into an apartment for the time being. Hes high energy and just needs a farm/job to do to fulfill his needs/wants. He is house trained and has always slept inside but he thrives in wide open spaces. He does live up to his name & steals anything he can but if he has a job, he is a lot easier to handle. He hasn't been aggressive to kids but he nudges them way too hard as if he's trying to herd them & we will have a newborn soon & that worries me too. I've tried everything I can to train him but he just needs to be able to let his energy out & do a job. He's unmanageable if he isn't able to let his energy out. He can walk on a leash but pulls super hard so living in an apartment has made it worse with trying to pull me down 3 flights of stairs (not his fault) but it's our current situation & we have no one to watch him until we get moved back out to the farm in the next 6+ months. He deserves a life worth living for a dog & it breaks my heart to come to this point but I know someone with a farm/job could fulfill everything he needs
