About Zeke

Meet Zeke! Zeke is a black mini/toy schnauzer. Around 8-10lbs. Fully vaccinated up to date on all shots and also neutered. Zeke has been my daughter's baby and a household pet for 5 1/2 years. His birthday is 6/22/2019. We got him on August 31, 2019. He loves going on walks, or car rides (he likes to drive) cuddles on the couch/bed, being told he's a good boy, and of course letting you know when someone is at the house or close to it. Doesn't like rough house play but will play 'rough' if you put a blanket on his head. He prefers females but not against 'gentle' males. Good with kids but doesn't like them to pick or try to pick them up. We Love Zeke! Unfortunately Zeke got out of our yard (wind blew it down) while we were gone and got hit by a vehicle 01/22/23. No lasting neurological deficits! And no internal problems! We have worked/rehabbed him to get him where he is today and he's great! Here lies our 'problem'. Zeke is not happy and has Bad anxiety. He doesn't really socialize or interact with anyone anymore. He doesn't really care for his fur friends either. (Lg dog, and cats all raised together) he just hides Constantly! Only to go outside (Doggie door) or get food/water. Our house is just way too busy for him now. We have 4+ kids and visitors coming and going. Have noticed a big change in him when it's quieter and or he is the only animal around. He may do great with a small to mid sized dog, I know he used to love to play with them. Will you please help us find a calmer house for our boy so he can live a happy life? Thank you for reading.
