About Teddy

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Teddy is is a 6 year old Registered Golden. He's potty trained, good around my friends 9 yr old, good with our cat, knows basic obedience, is crate trained and is very loving. He walks on a Gentle Leader. We adopted Teddy about a year ago when he was 5. He was returned to the breeder due to 'lack of time'. Unfortunately, we discovered he was not properly socialized by his first owner and left in tact. We learned that Teddy can be dog aggressive and due to his size, the two neighbor dogs on the back fence line who start trouble with Teddy, and several neighborhood dogs have made this behavior hard to curb. He is a big dog and he's hard to control for a smaller person. A friend with dog training experience does not have issues with him, unfortunately, this situation is just not a good fit. Someone with dog training knowledge and the time to dedicate to him will most likely be able to control these behaviors. Potential adopters MUST have a fenced yard and demonstrate dog training knowledge.
