I adopted moose when he was 9 months old. He came from an unknown abusive background. He is resource Guard his kennel. You have to make anything you want him to do his idea. He is very anxious while walking and seeing other dogs. He will scream. He does best in the woods on a long lead. He is trained on recall and basics sit lay down roll over middle spin and weave He is not good at stay he has very bad impulse control. I want to be upfront because nobody was upfront with me on his personality when I rescued him. He is very loud and loves to talk. He's not a bad dog. Very lovely and loyal. Does best alone, but has gotten along with my female dog for the past 3 years. The reason for rehoming is moose is use to an active lifestyle. Life has gotten super hard recently and I work so much that to me it's just not fair to him to have just 2 walks a day when he's use to being worked for 3+ hours. This decision doesn't come lightly as I have put my soul into this boy. He's a handsome sweet boy just needs a lot of patience. He thrives on positive reinforcement. He will challenge you if you try to dominate him or be alpha. He just needs someone who will take the time to understand him and be a good leader. Not good with small children. The eye contact makes moose feel threatened.
