About Roxie

Hello, new friends!!! My name is Roxie and I'm 3 year old, 25-pound Cocker Spaniel girl with silky tri-colored fur and soulful eyes. My foster mom says I'm full of gentle love. ��%BD��%BDʹ When I first arrived at her home, I was shy and cautious��%BD'��%BD|I have been through a lot of change recently so it's understandable. But give me a little time (like an hour or 2) ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD and soon I'll be your shadow, aka a velcro dog. I follow her from room to room, just to make sure she's okay (and maybe to get an extra pet or two). Nothing feels safer than being close to my person. I've made friends with the other dogs here and I'm just discovering these things called toys. The backyard is my favorite place where I can explore interesting smells and feel the pavers beneath my paws. ��%BD��%BD%90%BE��%BD����%BD --like a typical cocker spaniel I'm not too keen on getting my beautiful paws wet on the grass---you might say I'm a little prima donna about that. ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD I might do well with calm cats who respect personal space and older children who won't make sudden movements or loud noises that might startle me. I've been very good about doing my business outside, I'm a lady, after all, and I have excellent house manners! Mealtime is... complicated. I have standards, you see. ��%BD��%BD%A4��%BD Those regular dog kibbles? I'll consider them, but I've developed quite the refined palate. My foster mom thinks I might have been spoiled with people food before. ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD She's not wrong! but I'm open to trying good canine foods and my tastebuds have become fond of 'fresh pet' or similar sprinkled on my kibble.
