About Frosty

I rescued Frosty from our local shelter last Fall. She was matted, bald in places and underweight. I brought her home to be with my other girls after her original owner had abandoned her after 12 years. The shelter was told she was food aggressive and would 'kill' other dogs. Up until recently, none of those behaviors manifested themselves. About 3 months ago the food aggression began to appear, but we worked around it. She is now actively stalking my Border Collie, who was my original Alpha female, and attacked her this evening injuring her and my wife who was trying to break them up. By trying to help her find another home, I feel like I have failed her and that she is being abandoned again. We have a 16 year old Shihtzu, a 5 year old FRUG, the 9 year old Border and a 2 year old Dane/Anatolian. All rescues. When Frosty attacked the Border the Dane tried to fight her off. The entire situation was beyond my wife's control while I was at work. By herself, Frosty is a sweetheart. She has a SERTA crib mattress she sleeps on at the foot of our bed and I lay down with her every night and love on her. She needs a home where she will continue to be loved and is probably the only dog.
