About Rusty

Rusty is a very high energy dog. He cannot be happily contained in a house or small yard, which is why we need to find him a new home with lots of room to run in or worked with daily. He was raised with other high quality trained squirrel hunters, and is very trainable. His spatial awareness is very keen-- he catches a tennis ball in the air! He's not aggressive to family members but his energy level has him bumping into the kids and knocking them over. I believe this would get better if he had an outlet for all his energy. He needs owners who understand what hunting dogs are like.
