Even though Henry's DNA results are still pending, we believe this happy boy is about a 4 year old chihuahua/terrier mix and 15 lbs of love. Henry was picked up in San Antonio, TX as a stray who had been hit by a car. When no one came for him, Vermont English Bulldog Rescue saved him and immediately found he needed medical care. A trip to the vet revealed poor Henry had a broken pelvis and would require time and rehab to get better. Henry has been living with his foster family for three months and they are happy to report that, after months of crate rest and rehab, Henry is a happy and healthy boy ready for his forever home. Henry is a social butterfly. He loves every dog and human he meets. He is such a gentleman, never jumping up on people or other dogs and his just happy to see everyone. Henry sits at your feet at outdoor restaurants never begging for food or barking at people. He goes to the Little League field where he meets other dogs and adores all the attention he gets from the children. Henry loves, loves car rides and is quite the outdoorsman. He is content is hang out on the lawn in the sunshine or exploring his surroundings. He is magnificent on a leash and loves running in the park on a long leash with a huge smile on his face. Henry is not a loaner'|he wants to be around his people and furry siblings, but is not a 'Velcro' dog. He is quite content to sit on your lap if you want him to, but is content to sit by your side on the couch, on a dog bed nearby, or sleep at the foot of the bed. He endured all 4 days of the Masters Golf Tournament on TV by his foster dad's side on the couch, and was rewarded with long walks in the park each day, which he loved. Henry has no physical limitations, he is quite able to jump up on the furniture and beds. Henry has not been tested with cats yet, but we know he barks and wants to chase squirrels and deer. Henry chases balls, but has not quite mastered the art of bringing it back. If you're looking for a wonderful dog who will put a smile on your face every day, then Henry is the boy for you. Henry would do best in a home with another dog(s), or a homebody that he can hang out with during the day. He just wants to be part of a pack whether it be with humans or furry siblings. His foster is willing to answer questions, provide additional photos and videos. https://www.vermontenglishbulldogrescue.com/non-bulldog-application/
