She's big and she's fluffy, and she is ready for a forever family. %9D%A4 Dixie may be a little picky with snacks and is more prone to grazing than she is to eating her whole meal in just a few minutes. She was likely free-fed long term in her previous home and likes to keep it easy and low-key. She may be a little picky with food and prefers soft to dry, needing some encouragement to eat up her kibbles. Dixie has been good with touch in the shelter environment but prefers gentle touch and respect, she doesn't love to have her big paws handled and prefers gentle touch to rough-housing. This lady like toys, but she is selective and might ignore some till she finds the very best ones just for her! She does well with other dogs, but her best matches will have a similar relaxed energy level. We recommend a home with no cats as she is a retired working gal with the instinct to chase the little fuzzies. Dixie even knows some basic commands, including 'drop-it' and 'sit' She is crate trained and likely housebroken, but beware, this girl is a bit of an escape artist! If you're interested in giving this girl a beautiful retirement home, please reach out.
