About Juniper

This classic blue gal is Juniper. She is an Australian Cattle Dog mix who is about 1 1/2 years old. She weighs about 50 pounds. Juniper is smart and learns quickly. She knows sit, down, off, up and is crate trained. She is working on recall, and treats help her remember to come back faster. She is both house and crate trained. Juniper is a typical herder who likes a moment to get to get to know new people. Once she knows you, she is a cuddler. She is nervous with small kids, so an adults only home, or even one with a teen or two, is more her style. Juniper likes her dog friend and enjoys playing on the beach. She does prefer polite dogs and a slow introduction just to say hi before any fun starts. She isn't a dog park gal. She would be fine living as an only dog or with a polite male. Small dogs have bullied her, she likely prefers a home with a dog her size or larger. As for cats��%BD'��%BD|nope. That's why she needs a home. Juniper is a great adventurer and loves hikes, going in bodies of water, or camping. She is good on leash and fine in the car. She does sometimes have to be convinced gently to get in the car, and then so fantastic once she is inside. Juniper is sweet, smart, loyal, and cuddly. She loves being with her people. She will also let you know if someone is entering your home, so she is an all around good gal to have around. Juniper is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is located in San Diego, CA, and is ready to meet adopters who can come here to adopt. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
