LOCATION: Addison, TX DOB: 12/03/2023 Meet Clementine, a 1-year-old spayed female with a heart as big as her 67-pound frame. This sweet and well-behaved Tree Walking Coonhound, with a hint of Dane, is on the lookout for a home where her people can devote more time to her. Clementine's mom, a dedicated vet tech, works two jobs and long hours, leaving Clementine yearning for more playtime and companionship. Clementine is a bundle of energy, and we suspect she'll remain an active gal for many years to come, true to her coonhound roots. She has a known allergy to pork and possibly some seasonal allergies, but she's doing great now that it's colder and she's off pork products. This playful pup loves to interact with other dogs, though her exuberant play style can be a bit much for smaller, less outgoing dogs. Larger dogs might be a better match for her spirited antics. While she hasn't lived with a cat, she isn't reactive to them at the clinic. Clementine is housebroken, leash trained, crate trained, and good in a car. She knows basic obedience commands but needs a bit of work on recall and leash pulling. She tends to jump on people when excited, but she's making progress on this front. Although she has a little separation anxiety, she settles down after 10-15 minutes. Kids make her very nervous, so a home without young children would be ideal. One of Clementine's standout qualities is her behavior at the vet-she's amazing!
