Through absolutely no fault of her own, Poppy needs a new home due to a sudden family emergency requiring her previous family to relocate where pets sadly aren't allowed. This is heartbreaking for them, as Poppy was a cherished member of their family. Poppy has a proven track record of being wonderful in a family setting. She has lived happily with three small children whom she adores, showcasing her gentle and patient nature. She also coexisted peacefully with the family's elderly cat, demonstrating her adaptability and calm demeanor. She is kennel trained but would prefer to be out on a parcel of fenced in land to stand watch for. She is obedient and has had some training (knows: 'sit' and 'crate') but is ripe for more training to give her purpose. This lovely girl combines the gentle giant spirit of the St. Bernard with the loyal watchfulness of the Maremma. She is already vaccinated and ready to bond with a new family who can offer her the space, love, and stability she deserves. Poppy enjoys Poppy is looking for a loving home that appreciates large, devoted companions. Her ideal family will understand the need to provide routine care, including getting her spayed (she is not yet fixed).
