About Yogi

Yogi is a loyal and energetic dog who truly thrives when he has a job to do-he's the kind of dog who needs structure, routine, and a sense of purpose. He would do best in an active environment, ideally with someone familiar with working breeds or who has experience with high-energy dogs. Yogi is very affectionate but doesn't always understand personal boundaries-he's the type to be right by your side (or in your lap!) whether you're ready for it or not. He's also quite vocal and isn't shy about letting you know what he's thinking, which can be both endearing and a challenge, depending on your living situation. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is also good with cats. He's great with adults and has done fine with children, though he tends to simply tolerate them rather than actively engage. Yogi can be wary and intimidating toward strangers at first, but with proper introductions and consistency, he settles in. Unfortunately, we are moving and are unable to bring Yogi with us. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but we're hoping to find him a home where he can be understood, appreciated, and given the activity and companionship he needs to thrive.
