About Cocoa

I had taken in Cocoa last summer from my friend who was going through a divorce and did not have a place for herself or cocoa. I had dog sat before and she got along wonderful with my two cats and my pittie so we knew it would work out. The situation has ended up being permanent as Cocoa is still living with me. I am a renter, and I am not wanting any issues with my landlord. As an animal lover I feel horrible because I feel as if I should have done more to ensure this does not happen. I also have reached out to Cocoas owner, and she is not in a situation where she is able to take her back herself nor does she have anyone that can take her. Cocoa, even with her age can keep up on walks, and is a fast little runner when were in the backyard. She is a great little guard dog and barks at everything. She will bark when people enter my home, but she allows herself to be petted. She does fine on walks with other people, and dogs around as well. I am not sure if she is going deaf or just chooses to not listen to me but there have been times, I have called her name, and she just does what she wants. She has a basket of her nail clippers, a couple leashes and collars, as well as her shot records from Horse and Hound. Any other questions you may have please let me know.
