About Brodie

Brodie is a blue born puppy in Lynchburg, TN who has inherited a condition called CDA (color dilution alopecia). CDA is a genetic recessive inherited condition that causes patches of hair thinning or loss and may also include flaky and/or itchy skin. The condition is associated with individuals who have what is called a 'dilute' color and is most commonly seen in dogs with a blue or fawn coat. Other than his overall appearance, his health is not at risk. While CDA results in irreversible hair loss, ranging from thinning of the coat to patches of baldness and potential skin issues, it does not compromise a dog's overall health or quality of life. The condition can be managed effectively, allowing affected dogs to live normal, healthy, and happy lives. Brodie needs a special family in a spay/neuter home who will love him for his great personality and the abundance of love he will give to his human. Vet references are required. Adoption fee is waived for the perfect home.
