Meet Zelda: A Big-Hearted Beauty Looking for Her Forever Family There's something magical about Zelda. Maybe it's her soulful eyes that seem to look right into your heart. Maybe it's the way she leans in for hugs, belly rubs, and love. Or maybe it's just that she's one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs who bring joy wherever she goes. Zelda is a stunning 4-year-old, spayed Great Pyrenees mix who's been part of a loving home since she was rescued as a pup, all alone in the Oregon desert. Over the years, she's grown up alongside her best friend-a big, gentle Pitbull-and a quirky cat named Paul. She adores her dog and cat family, though she can be a little enthusiastic in her play and may sometimes forget her size when she's excited. Why Zelda Needs a New Home Zelda's family loves her deeply, and this decision hasn't come easily. Their daughter is expecting a baby and will be moving in with her partner-who has a dog that Zelda doesn't get along with. Because Zelda needs to be the only dog in her home, her family is now looking for the perfect new forever home before July, where Zelda can be safe, adored, and live her best life. Zelda's Best Traits Zelda is pure heart. She's: %BD' Loving & Cuddly: She lives for affection, snuggles, and belly rubs. %BD' Goofy & Playful: Zelda will keep you smiling with her joyful, silly energy. %BD' Loyal & Calm Indoors: She's house-trained and content to nap quietly while you're at work. %BD' Adventure-Loving: As a Great Pyrenees mix, she loves space and would thrive with room to roam. She loves the river and enjoys lakes. What Zelda Needs Zelda would do best in a dog-free home with humans who are experienced with large or reactive dogs. She's made progress with training but is still reactive to other dogs, both on and off leash. She also guards her food, so meals should be separate if there are other animals nearby. While she loves her current dog and cat companions, it's safest for Zelda to be the only dog in the household. She hasn't had exposure to farm animals, so a quiet property (not a working farm) would be ideal. Dream Home for Zelda %BD' She is an INDOOR dog; she IS NOT a guardian dog and has only known the comfort of being indoors. She is a couch potato. %BD' A calm, structured home where she can be indoors with her people %BD' A large, securely fenced yard or rural property %BD' Cats OK, No dogs- or at cautionary %BD' Lots of love, attention, and room to stretch those long, beautiful legs %BD' She is very smart and learns quickly. With a more focused training, she could be OK with other dogs. Someone experienced with reactivity and positive training methods. Located in the Treasure Valley area, Zelda's family is committed to carefully vetting all potential homes. They'll even help coordinate transportation to nearby states if the perfect family is out of town. Zelda Is Ready for Her Next Chapter With her intelligence, loyalty, and deep affection for her people, Zelda is more than just a dog-she's a companion, a protector, and a soul who wants to be loved as deeply as she loves. If you believe in second chances and you have the space in your home-and your heart-Zelda could be your perfect match. Please reach out if you think you could be the one to give Zelda a forever home. She's ready to meet her next best friend.
